#24 Football Wins American Athletic Conference Championship, 35-14 Over Tulane
The #24 AP-ranked Army Black Knights (11-1, 9-0 AAC) won the American Athletic Conference championship on December 6, defeating the Tulane Green Wave (9-4, 7-2), 35-14 at Michie Stadium. The conference championship is Army’s first conference title in the program’s 134-year history, as the program has been Independent for most of that time.

Swimming & Diving Sweeps Navy in the Star Meet for the First Time Since 1988
Army West Point Swimming & Diving made history December 5 at Crandall Pool as they swept Navy in the 2024 Star Meet to collect both stars up for grabs in the Star Series, presented by USAA. The Black Knights collected wins simultaneously over Navy for the first time in 36 years with 27 first place finishes, 12 program records, and 11 Crandall Pool records.

Daily Selected as Manning Award Quarterback of the Week
Fans have selected CDT Bryson Daily ’25 of Army as the Manning Award Quarterback of the Week. He earned the honor over seven other Manning Award Stars of the Week in the Allstate Sugar Bowl’s online fan voting contest. This is his third win this season as he was also recognized after his week 6 performance in Army’s 42-7 win over Tulsa and his week 8 performance in a 45-28 AAC victory over East Carolina.

Berginc Wins Title, Wrestling Finishes Second at Black Knight Invitational
Army West Point Wrestling’s CDT Ethan Berginc ’26 capped off a team second-place finish at Sunday’s Black Knight Invitational with a title in the 133 lb weight class. Berginc—who entered the day as the No. 1 seed in his weight class—defeated Gardner-Webb’s TK Davis in the final.

Davis Completes Campaign at NCAA Cross Country Championships
CDT Nathan Davis ’26 of Army West Point Men’s Cross Country wrapped up the season at the NCAA Cross Country Championships on November 24. Davis placed 199th in the 10K race with a time of 30:46.20 from the Thomas Zimmer Cross Country Championship Course. Harvard’s Graham Blanks won the individual title with a mark of 28:37.2 as BYU claimed the team title.

It’s a test of physical endurance, brute strength, and the mental will to achieve past one’s bodily limits as U.S. Military Academy second- and first-class cadets push themselves during the Indoor Obstacle Course Test (IOCT) on November 20 at Hayes Gymnasium in the Arvin Cadet Physical Development Center.

Cadets Honored for Athletic Excellence, Warrior Ethos in Receiving Hal Moore Award
CDTs Gabriella Sorrentino ’25 and Isaiah McNeilly ’25 were chosen as the recipients of the 2024 Lt. Gen. Hal Moore Athlete of Excellence Award and received their accolades during a ceremony Nov. 14, 2024, in the Haig Room.

Equestrian Team Places Third at Marist College Show
On October 26, the West Point Equestrian Team competed at Crosswinds Equestrian Center, placing third overall. Notable individual performances include CDTs Kayla Kiniry ’25 and Claire Shioutakon ’27, who both placed third in Open Hunter Seat on the Flat, and CDT Samuel Hunsberger ’28, who took third in Introductory Hunter Seat.

Army Men’s Basketball to Host Duke in 2025
Army West Point Athletics and Duke Athletics have announced that the two basketball programs will meet again in 2025. The Army Men’s Basketball team will host Duke University at Christl Arena next season on Veterans Day, November 11, 2025.

Cadet Companies Face-Off in Five Sports for Fall Brigade Final Titles
It was an evening of incredible finishes as cadets competed in five sports of the Company Athletics Fall Brigade Finals on November 5 at the Arvin Cadet Physical Development Center and Daly Field. Cadets vied for company-level titles in functional fitness, flag football, soccer, basketball, and grappling.
