The West Point Society of Annapolis (WPSOA) welcomed the Army West Point Women’s Lacrosse team and their families to Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium on April 11, coordinating pre- and post-game tailgates in support of the team during their matchup against Navy.
Entering the contest ranked No. 13, Army faced a strong No. 6 Navy team in a competitive rivalry game. The Black Knights opened with momentum, building an early 3–1 lead in the first quarter. Navy responded with a disciplined defensive effort and capitalized on turnovers to take an 8–3 lead into halftime. The second half remained evenly contested, but Army was unable to close the gap and ultimately fell 14–8.

Following the game, approximately 200 attendees—including cadet-athletes, families, Society members, and supporters, gathered for a post-game tailgate. Guests enjoyed a catered barbecue meal, along with desserts and refreshments generously provided by team parents. The event offered an opportunity for connection, camaraderie, and continued support of the team.
For more than 20 years, the West Point Society of Annapolis has supported U.S. Military Academy exchange cadets and traveling athletic teams. Through events like these, WPSOA strengthens the bonds of the Long Gray Line—demonstrating its enduring commitment to service, connection, and supporting cadets both on and off the field.
