WPAOG Online Parent Handbook

We have designed this booklet to help parents understand and meet the challenges that await them during their cadet’s experience at the United States Military Academy. Prior knowledge about the journey is a powerful tool in preparing you for the 47-month cadet experience.

Welcome, Class of 2030 Parents

The West Point Association of Graduates is proud to support you and your cadet throughout the 47-month West Point experience. As the alumni association and foundation for USMA, WPAOG helps connect families to helpful resources, timely updates, West Point traditions, cadet news, and opportunities to support the Margin of Excellence programs that enhance every cadet’s leadership development. We are honored to be part of your family’s West Point journey and look forward to helping you stay informed, connected, and engaged as your cadet prepares to become a leader of character for the Army and the nation.

Providing the Margin of Excellence

Cadets participate in numerous activities beyond the classroom and military training, further enhancing their leadership development. These activities are referred to as Margin of Excellence programs, and they benefit every cadet in three main areas: Cadet Activities, Academy Scholars, and Athletics. The Parents Fund is a way for us to work together with you to provide the Margin of Excellence.
