Notice is hereby given that the 2026 Annual Meeting for regular members of the West Point Association of Graduates (WPAOG) will take place on Tuesday, November 17, at 5:00 pm ET in the Herbert Hall Alumni Center, 698 Mills Road, West Point, New York 10996. The business of the meeting will be to elect six members to our Board of Directors and six Advisors at Large, and to vote on proposed Bylaws Amendments.

Class Rings

The West Point Class Ring is one of the Academy’s most enduring traditions, symbolizing the lifelong bond shared by members of the Long Gray Line. WPAOG provides resources to help graduates replace or repair a ring, report a lost or found ring, and participate in the Ring Memorial Program.

Class Ring Conventions

The Symbol of an Enduring Bond

Possessing and wearing a West Point Class Ring carries special significance as a symbol of the enduring bond of the Long Gray Line. Beginning in 1980, class constitutions included regulations governing the retention, purchase, and wear of the Class Ring.

  • A Class Ring may be worn following its formal presentation to the class.
  • The family of a deceased class member may retain the graduate’s ring.
  • Purchase and wear of a particular Class Ring is reserved for eligible members of that class.
  • Cadets who separate, resign, or are turned back before graduation follow Academy procedures regarding return of their ring.

Preserving the Tradition

In 1996, the Class of 1986 donated a special display case to recognize the significance of the Class Ring throughout West Point’s history. The collection, housed in Jefferson Library, illustrates how the ring has evolved while preserving its traditional meaning.
