Army West Point Women’s Soccer secured the 2025 Patriot League Tournament Championship in a 3-2 victory over No.1 Boston University (11-5-3) on November 9. For Army (14-5-2), this is the first time winning the tournament since 2011 and marks the program’s first victory over Boston U. in the Patriot League postseason.

Notably, CDT Brigid Duffy ’26 set a new single-game record for assists, recording on all three of Army’s goals. CDT Sabrina Rogers ’27 was named the Patriot League Tournament MVP after recording her second brace of the season, which included the game-winning goal, while CDT Sophia Henry ’29 scored the 11th goal of her freshman campaign. CDTs Jordan Follenweider ’26, Brigid Duffy, Sophia Henry, and Sabrina Rogers were all named to the All-Tournament team.

The Black Knights started strong, scoring just three minutes into the match to take the lead early. Duffy played a through ball to Rogers and connected the pass perfectly with a score into the back of the net. At 37:42, Henry doubled the Army lead with a goal of her own. The plebe forward collected a loose ball in the box and fired a shot into the back of the net. The Black Knights would take a 2-0 lead into the halftime break. The Terriers got on the board early in the second to cut into the Black Knights’ lead. Rogers connected again for the brace at 81:33. Duffy dropped off a pass to Rogers, who delivered her second goal of the game to put the Black Knights in front 3-1. The Terriers answered back to make it 3-2, but it proved to be futile.

With this win, the Black Knights earn the Patriot League’s automatic bid to the NCAA. The Black Knights will learn their postseason fate on November 10 when the bracket is unveiled during the 2025 NCAA Division I Women’s Soccer Tournament Selection Show at 4:00pm, available on NCAA.com.
