West Point CDT Josh Scovens ’27 Named Patriot League Rookie of the Year

CDT Josh Scovens ’27 has been named Patriot League Rookie of the Year. Joining him on the All-Rookie Team is teammate CDT Ryan Curry ’27.

“This recognition for Josh and Ryan is very well-deserved, and I could not be any prouder of them,” said Lee Anderson Head Coach Kevin Kuwik. “Most importantly, Josh and Ryan together have infused our program with a spirit of toughness and competitiveness that I believe will allow them to lead us to greater successes moving forward.”

The two star plebes led the team in scoring and brought home Patriot League Rookie of the Week, a program record-tying seven times combined (Scovens 5, Curry 2).

This is the second season in a row a Black Knight has won Patriot League Rookie of the Year, with CDT Ethan Roberts ’26 winning last season. Scovens’ Rookie year will go down in the Army history books as one of the best ever.
