The USMA Chess Team traveled to the United States Naval Academy from October 11-14 for the 2024 United States Armed Forces Open Chess Championship. Competing against nearly 100 participants from all branches of the military, the USMA Chess team earned the title of “Top Service Academy Team,” narrowly edging out USAFA. Notable individual honors include CDT Addison Lee ’26 (3rd Overall) and CDT Kade Riddle ’27 (3rd Cadet/Midshipman).

There are more than 120 clubs at West Point including athletic, recreational, academic, religious, hobby, and diversity clubs – something for virtually every interest, made possible by the generous supporters who contribute to the Margin of Excellence.
