USMA Cadet Wins First Place for Fencing at Brazilian Military Academy

CDT Kayla Williams Wright ’25 (Company H3) earned first place in Fencing on February 21 at the Brazilian Military Academy. Wright found herself in overtime, needing just one point to bring home gold for the Quartermaster branch, and she was successful in her efforts. View video.

Nearly 5,000 miles from West Point, she continues demonstrating excellence and making the West Point Department of Foreign Languages and the Portuguese Section very proud.

In moments like these, while studying and representing West Point abroad, cadets must be strong in every pillar of the United States Military Academy. Wright brought together all four to represent USMA well during this competition while simultaneously strengthening West Point’s partnership with the Brazilian Military. Read more.
