Men’s Lacrosse Ranked No. 1 For First Time Ever

For the first time in program history, the Army West Point Men’s Lacrosse team is ranked No. 1 in the country. Army is off to its best start since 1984, opening the year 6-0. The 1984 team was a special one, eventually making it to the NCAA Tournament Semifinals. The Black Knights are coming off an 18-8 win at home against Holy Cross that saw CDT Gunnar Fellows ’26 score four goals and tack on one assist.

The Inside Lacrosse Media Poll saw the Black Knights at No. 1, receiving 22 of the 27 first place votes. The USILA Coaches Poll had Army at No. 1 as well, picking up 16 of the 22 first place votes. Based on current rankings, Army has wins over No. 6 Syracuse and No. 19 Rutgers, both of which came on the road.

The Black Knights face off with Lehigh on March 16 at Michie Stadium at noon.
