Army West Point gymnastics delivered a historic performance at the USAG Collegiate National Championships, claiming the program’s first-ever team national title and earning multiple individual honors in a weekend that showcased the strength, discipline, and competitive excellence of the Corps.
The Black Knights secured the team championship with a score of 315.050, highlighted by standout performances across multiple events. Army matched a season high on the pommel horse (54.000) and set new season bests on vault (53.850) and parallel bars (51.800), demonstrating consistent execution and depth across the lineup.
Individually, cadets rose to the moment. Nick Lester ’27 led the way with a national title on vault while also earning All-American honors in both vault and floor exercise. Maddox Pabellon ’26 captured first place on pommel horse (14.300), tying a season high, while Noah Duran ’27 added a fourth-place finish in the same event and later earned All-American recognition on both pommel horse and parallel bars.
Army’s success extended across the roster, with Thomas Morrow ’29, Cash Johnston ’28, and Jaden Blank ’27 contributing to the team’s dominant showing. In total, six cadets advanced to individual event finals, with five earning a combined seven USAG All-American honors.
The Black Knights’ performance was further recognized with the USAG Coaching Staff of the Year award, underscoring the leadership and preparation behind this milestone achievement.
This national title reflects the Academy’s commitment to developing disciplined, resilient leaders who excel under pressure—on the competition floor and beyond.
