The National Conference on Ethics in America (NCEA) hosted by the Simon Center for the Professional Military Ethic at West Point was held in Eisenhower Hall on November 15-16. The theme this year was “Developing Judgment: Bridging Theory & Practice.”

West Point Marathon Team Displays Skill, Sportsmanship at Army Ten-Miler
The West Point Marathon Team traveled to Washington, D.C. for the 39th Annual Army Ten-Miler on October 6-8. They fielded two teams of eight cadets from all classes. The team prevailed to win both 1st and 2nd place in the Service Academy/ROTC Division, besting the University of Texas ROTC team (3rd place) by more than 10 minutes.

West Point Participates In Commemorating 70th Anniversary Of U.S.-ROK Mutual Defense Treaty
COL Sean Morrow ’01, director of Center for Combating Terrorism; MAJ Si Park ’11, assistant professor in Math Department; and U.S. Military Academy cadets from the Korean American Relations Seminar (KARS) participated in a ceremony Oct. 1 in Fort Lee, New Jersey, commemorating the 70th anniversary of the signing of the U.S.-Republic of Korea (ROK) Alliance.

William Douglas has been writing The Color of Hockey blog since 2012. Douglas joined NHL.com in 2019 and writes about people of color in the sport. Today, as part of NHL.com’s celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, he profiles Joey Baez, a forward at the United States Military Academy at West Point who was second in the Atlantic Hockey Association in goals last season and also tied for second in power-play goals throughout NCAA Division I men’s hockey.

The West Point garrison and reservation encompass over 16,000 acres of land, from military training ranges to historic trails, and includes access to several bodies of water, including the Hudson River. This diverse landscape allows instructors from all departments and disciplines to expand the limits of their classrooms and use the great outdoors to supplement cadet learning.
