Earned Not Given

On August 21, the Class of 2027 marked its transition into Firstie year by receiving West Point class rings —enduring symbols of their shared experience and connection to generations of graduates who came before them.

The rings carry the legacy of 1,035 class rings donated by members of the Long Gray Line through the West Point Association of Graduates’ Ring Memorial Program. Melted Legacy Gold from these rings was incorporated into the Class of 2027 rings, creating a physical and symbolic bond among generations of West Point graduates.

Members of the 50-Year Affiliation Class of 1977 joined the Class of 2027 during Ring Weekend to grip hands and celebrate this milestone. Together, the two classes honored a tradition built on service, connection, and a shared commitment to Duty, Honor, Country. VIEW PHOTOS
