West Point earned the team title at the 2026 SIG Sauer Relentless Warrior Championship, finishing first after two days of competition at the SIG Sauer Academy in New Hampshire.

The championship featured 11 teams and 134 competitors, making it the largest field in the event’s history. Over 10 challenging stages, cadets were tested in marksmanship, teamwork, fitness, and leadership through mission-focused scenarios.

Facing a competitive field that included the Air Force Academy, Coast Guard Academy, Merchant Marine Academy, Royal Military College of Canada, Texas A&M, The Citadel, Naval Academy, University of North Georgia, Virginia Military Institute, and Virginia Tech, West Point delivered a standout performance from start to finish.

Cadets also distinguished themselves in the individual standings. Lewis Hare ’26 was named Top Gun Overall Champion, Gavin Vollmer ’27 placed second overall, and Wojciech Wardecki ’26 finished fifth. Hare also earned recognition as West Point’s top shot.

West Point’s finish reflects the Academy’s continued commitment to developing disciplined, resilient leaders prepared to overcome challenges and lead in complex environments.

“These experiences build the operational capabilities they will carry into the Army as they assume leadership roles. Everything we do revolves around our core mantra: developing leaders of character who will fight and win our nation’s wars.”
