Angela Oakley

Angela joined the West Point Association of Graduates in 2017 as an Annual Giving Officer. She has since served in multiple roles across the Development team, including Leadership Gifts Officer in the greater New York City area, Major Gifts Officer for the Northeast region, and Assistant Director of Major and Leadership Giving. She now serves as Vice President of Development, where she leads and manages all fundraising efforts for WPAOG, advancing the Academy’s Margin of Excellence programs and those that support the Long Gray Line.

Angela grew up in Huron, Ohio, and attended Bowling Green State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with a minor in Political Communication. While representing BGSU at a Model United Nations conference in New York City, she met her future husband, Tom Oakley ’00, who was representing the United States Military Academy.

Angela and Tom were married in 2001 at the Presidio in San Francisco. During Tom’s early Army service and deployments, Angela worked for Eli Lilly Pharmaceuticals and earned her MBA in International Business from Colorado State University. Following his return, Tom entered the JAG Corps, and the Oakleys grew their family with two children, Genevieve and TJ. In the summer of 2026, Genevieve will graduate from Indiana University, and TJ will be a rising Firstie in I-1.

As an Army family, the Oakleys have moved 10 times across eight states and two continents, including assignments at Fort Carson (twice), Fort Knox, The Ohio State University, Fort Hood, Charlottesville, Fort Leavenworth, Sanremo, Italy, and West Point. Throughout these moves, Angela built a diverse professional background spanning family program management at III Corps, special events coordination, project management for the Army and Marine Corps through ProSports MVP, IT recruiting, and ultimately development at WPAOG. She is a Certified Fundraising Executive and has been an active volunteer at every duty station, including serving as President of Officer and Civilian Spouses Clubs at three installations.

The Oakleys continue to embrace all that West Point offers. Tom and Angela remain deeply engaged with the Corps, sponsoring more than 30 Cadets and regularly attending Academy functions and athletic events.
