WPAOG Gift Shop Celebrates Grand Re-opening

Category: Grad News

Today, the West Point Association of Graduates celebrated the ribbon cutting of its newly expanded Gift Shop, marking the first phase in the transformation of Herbert Hall into a welcoming home for the West Point community.

As part of the Link Plan—the Association’s strategic vision to enhance Herbert Hall and strengthen connections across the Long Gray Line—the renovated shop now offers nearly double the square footage, creating a more inviting and efficient experience for graduates, families, Army fans, and friends of the United States Military Academy.

The expanded layout enhances product displays and customer service while adding essential storage and back-office space to support online order fulfillment. These improvements will better serve customers looking to show their Black Knight pride, commemorate milestones with meaningful keepsakes, and support reunion classes with specialty items tailored to their celebrations.

“This is truly a moment that matters for the staff here and for the Long Gray Line,” said Terence Sinkfield ’99, Vice President of Alumni Support. “Graduates want to come to the Academy, feel welcome, and have that homecoming experience, and this is the start of something really special for Herbert Hall and for WPAOG.”

Herbert Hall continues to serve as a central gathering place where graduates, families, and supporters can connect with one another and with their alma mater, with additional enhancements still to come.

More than a physical expansion of the Gift Shop, the ribbon cutting reflects WPAOG’s continued investment in strengthening the lifelong bonds that unite the West Point community.

“We’re starting phase one with the WPAOG Gift Shop, but you’re going to see some wonderful changes over the next year and a half to two years at Herbert Hall,” Sinkfield said, “and our Old Grads are going to enjoy their experience of coming back to their Rockbound Highland Home and have a place to not only hang their hat, but take advantage of the amazing services and support we offer our graduates.”
