Thomas Ward '24

Thomas Ward is a graduate of the United States Military Academy Class of 2024 and currently serves as a Leadership Gifts Officer with the West Point Association of Graduates. In this role, he works closely with donors in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area to advance philanthropic support for the Academy and strengthen the Margin of Excellence for the Corps of Cadets.

At West Point, Thomas majored in American Politics and served as Class President, where he represented and advocated for his classmates throughout their four-year experience. In this role, he led the Academy’s largest class-wide fundraising participation effort in over 20 years, achieving 60% participation by partnering with alumni and donors to support long-term institutional initiatives. He was also a member of the Sandhurst Black and Gold team, competing at a high level in military skills competitions.

Following graduation, Thomas commissioned as an Infantry Officer and spent over a year at Fort Benning before medical challenges led to his early departure from active duty. He now continues to serve West Point and the Long Gray Line through his work in development, building relationships with donors and supporting initiatives that enhance cadet life and leader development.

Thomas is based in Washington, D.C., and will be pursuing his MBA at Johns Hopkins University.
