MG (R) John George ’88 spoke to cadets in the West Point American Society for Engineering Management Club (ASEM) in April about his experiences as a cadet at West Point, systems within the Army, and leadership. He focused on the power of collaboration. ASEM Club is a student chapter within the Department of Systems Engineering. The ASEM Club is known for its excellence, having won the ASEM Founder’s Award for Best Student Chapter multiple times, including in 2023.

George retired after 33 years in the Army and since 2022 serves as Vice President, Army Strategic Account Executive with Leidos. Leidos has sponsored a lab in the CEAC and for the past two years has been a major sponsor for the WPAOG Army-Navy Tailgate. Before joining Leidos, George served as the Commander of the Combat Capabilities Development Command, where he led the Army’s largest technology developer, responsible for science and technology research and development efforts.

Cadet Clubs at West Point are made possible by the generous supporters who contribute to the Margin of Excellence.
