Cadets from the Department of Law’s Sanremo Team competed in the 22nd Competition on International Humanitarian Law (IHL) for Military Academies. This prestigious week-long event brings together 100 cadets from 24 academies across 14 countries.

The U.S. Military Academy cadets joined forces with peers from around the globe, serving as legal advisors and tackling challenging IHL, also known as the law of armed conflict, scenarios in a fast-paced environment.

CDT Jackson Filipowicz ’24 earned the gold medal for top individual performance and CDT Anusha Pakkam ’24 was a part of the mixed team that won the gold medal for top mixed team performance.

“The department is truly excited about the performance of the Sanremo Team.
