The West Point Glee Club recently embarked on a trip to Greece. Their first performance of the trip was in Kavala, Greece and featured the U.S. and Greek national anthems, as well as a mixture of West Point traditional songs and Greek folk songs.

They then performed in Larissa, followed by the final concert of their Greece tour at the American College of Greece in Athens. Several cadets from the military academy in Greece attended their performance and engaged with the cadets of the West Point Glee Club after the concert.

In between performances, the cadets spent time touring and learning the history and rich culture of Greece.

The Cadet Glee Club has served as a strategic messaging arm of West Point, bringing the Academy to communities for more than 100 years. The Brad and Kathy Hildreth ’83 Cadet Glee Club Endowment was established as a direct result of Hildreth’s experience while she was a USMA cadet. She explained that the Glee Club was by far the best part of her West Point experience and some of her best friendships were made while traveling with the club. Hildreth is a 2024 WPAOG Distinguished Graduate Award recipient and a West Point Ready Campaign Cabinet Member. Private support makes Margin of Excellence experiences like the Glee Club performing in Greece, possible. Listen to Kathy’s story on the WPAOG Podcast.
