His family’s story of service began during dire times amid World War II when his father fought at the Battle of Bataan with the 57th Infantry Regiment (Philippine Scouts) and then was captured as a Japanese prisoner of war and survived the Bataan Death March. To this day, the fight continues for retired MG Antonio Taguba as he is taking the mantle to help Filipino warriors from that era to receive their due through an injustice made by the American government shortly after the war ended nearly 80 years ago.

West Point Assists Military with Food-Supply Mapping Tool in Hudson Valley to Plan Crisis Response
The Hudson Valley was the initial test case for an interactive mapping system developed by the U.S. Department of Defense to plan food-supply disaster response. The system under development by military and federal emergency responders will be used to understand the challenges and weaknesses of a localized food system in times of crisis or natural disasters by pinpointing key locations for food production and community-level distribution.
