Mike Eggleston ’61 has published his new book, “The Crossover Point of the Vietnam War.” This book provides an historic account of the Vietnam wars. It starts with the French war from 1945 to 1954 and continues with the American War that ended in 1975. First-hand accounts of the participants are included that help explain what happened. These include advisors, a medic, a dog handler, staff officers, repairmen and senior commanders as well as infantry soldiers. Historians also provide details. Dozens of maps are included with photos of the key people involved in the wars. The U.S. strategy is explained with details of why it failed.
