Bob Curran is a 1972 graduate of the Proud and True Class of 1972. Raised just across the river in Ossining, NY, Bob was on the Track & Field team and the Captain of the Army Cross Country team winning 4 Navy star matches. Graduated in 1972 (Company I-4) Bob served for 20 years having been stationed twice in Germany (32d AADCOM at Hahn & Spangdahlem Air Bases) and then with 3d AD “Spearhead” in Frankfurt and Buedingen; once in Korea (1-44 ADA & 38th Bde) and assignments at Fort Benning (Airborne & Rangerschools), Fort Bliss (Basic and Advanced Courses). Fort Lewis (twice) (9th Infantry Division and High Technology Test Bed and DIVADA), Ft Leavenworth (Staff College and Advanced Mil Studies Program- Jedi Knight program) and finally in the Pentagon with the National Guard Bureau.
For the 22 years following retirement Bob worked in the Defense Industry as a consultant and had his own company for 15 years concentrating on Logistics, Force Protection and Soldier Protective Gear. Bob’s wife, Molly, is the daughter of a ’49 grad and the mother to 4 children who are an ’07 grad (TC/SF- Green Beret); USNA ’07 (Naval Flight Officer), USNA ’10 grad (Surface Warfare Officer) and a daughter with the FDA. Bob is heavily involved with the 50 year Affiliation program for his Class and 2022. Bob has been with AOG since June 2014 and is now the Leadership Gifts Officer.
