Meet the WPAOG Career Services Team

January 8 is National Career Coaches Day! Today we are highlighting our amazing WPAOG Career Services staff, all of whom are equipped to help West Point graduates navigate any and all career transitions. 

WPAOG’s dedicated career coaches provide personalized support for grads who are 18 months or less from military transition, actively seeking a new job role, or are unemployed. They also facilitate opportunities for employers to engage with career-ready West Point Grads and receive tailored talent acquisition support. 

The WPAOG Career Services team is here to leverage the network of the Long Gray Line and help West Point grads land their ideal career opportunity.

Meet the team:

Ahmond Hill ’02, Director

With over 20 years of experience in various leadership roles across diverse industries, Ahmond is passionate about helping others achieve their career goals and live authentically. As a US Army veteran and proud ’02 USMA alum, he understands the challenges and opportunities that come with transitioning from the military and career moves.

Heidi Gifford, Assistant Director

Coming to Career Services from Yale University and the Teachers College at Columbia University, Heidi brings extensive experience in career advising and career services programming to the team. Heidi leads our robust programming and job search support programming. Heidi currently resides in New York City as a life-long resident of NYC.

Meg Barge, Assistant Director

A military spouse, Meg joined our team with experience in career support for transitioning service members and their spouses. Meg has moved over nine times in recent years settling at West Point with her soccer-loving family. Meg provides strategic initiative and systems support along with specialized career advising in our department.

Savannah McDonald, Part-Time Advisor

Savannah is a new addition to the advising team. She has served in a variety of industries such as optical manufacturing and the public school systems, with the majority of her career spent as an HR generalist, excelling in the areas of recruiting and resume consulting. Savannah is a military spouse and lives in Tampa, Florida.
