Senior Director of Major and Leadership Giving Mike White '82

Mike White is a 1982 graduate of West Point, and is very proud to be a member of the Select Few. He was commissioned in the Field Artillery and served in the 1/36 FA in Augsburg, Germany as a Battery Executive Officer, Battalion Fire Direction Officer, and Assistant Battalion S-3. After the advanced course, he served with the 3-319 FA in the 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, North Carolina as the Fire Direction Officer for 3-504 IN. He is a graduate of Airborne School, the Jumpmaster Course, TACFIRE School, Northern Warfare Course, S-1 School, and the Field Artillery Officer Basic and Advanced Courses.

After leaving the military, Mike spent the majority of his career as an executive in the horse racing and casino gaming industries. He has held posts at Raceway Park in Toledo, Ohio; Pompano Park in Pompano Beach, Florida; the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona; and Charles Town Races and Slots in Charles Town, West Virginia. In addition to holding leadership positions with those organizations, Mike also published numerous professional articles regarding horse racing and casino gaming. Mike joined the West Point Association of Graduates in early 2008 as a Major Gift Officer, and was promoted to Director of Major Gifts in April, 2010.

Mike and his wife, June, have three grown children who have or are serving in the military.
