|
 |
|
The Class of 2017 gathered for their Affirmation Ceremony in Robinson Auditorium on August 16, renewing the oath they took on The Plain two years ago. Nine members of the Class of 1967 attended as part of the 50-Year Affiliation Program, presenting joint Class Coins symbolizing the commitment of the Cow class to the Profession of Arms. Guest speaker the Honorable Tom White ’67 provided some sound advice and led cadets and classmates in the rocket cheer at the end of his speech. “If there are any doubters today, there is the door,” White said. “Knowing what I know now, I would take your spot. If you want to be a leader, then affirm. We had to lead the Army, now you have to do it. Follow in our footsteps, stay the course and always retain your membership with the Class of 2017. Just do it and beat Navy. We are all very proud of you.” See Photos
