Fraternité: Army West Point Carries French Flag at Tulane Game

 

At the November 14 home game versus Tulane, the Army West Point Football team entered Michie Stadium in solidarity with the flags of the United States and France. To show support for France after the attacks in Paris, The Academy and Army West Point Athletics shared photos of the event on social media with the caption: “West Point stands with the French people following the ‪‎Paris attacks - liberté, égalité, fraternity.” French Cadets rendered a hand salute as the French flag entered the stadium with the Black Knights. LTG(R) Ely ’33 Honored in Delray Beach

 
   

West Point’s oldest living graduate, LTG(R) William Ely ’33 served as the Keynote Speaker and Grand Marshall of the Veterans Day parade in Delray Beach, FL. The Delray resident served on Midway Island and in the Southwest Pacific. His awards include the Silver Star, Bronze Star, Legion of Merit and the Distinguished Service Medal. Read More

April 28-30: Athena’s Arena – 40 Years of Women at West Point

 

This event, commemorating 40 years of women at West Point, will bring together Academy graduates, scholars, and distinguished guests, as well as Army Leaders, cadets, staff and faculty. The Conference will begin with a Thursday afternoon Memorial Service, followed by two days of thought-provoking programming exploring current women's topics at West Point, in the Army, and across the nation.
