USMA Cyber Policy Team Takes First Place at Columbia Challenge

  Cyber Team Win

The USMA Cyber Policy Team placed first at the Inaugural NY Cyber 9/12 Student Challenge at Columbia University on Nov. 6. Competing against 21 other teams, mostly from graduate schools, the USMA team was the only undergraduate team to make it to the finals, beating three other teams (two from Columbia's School of International and Public Affairs and one from Tuft's Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy). The cadets formed an interdisciplinary team that drew upon their knowledge of international affairs, cybersecurity, national security, and international law to demonstrate their mastery of policy concepts in the cyber domain.

A Legacy of Giving

  Crane

The late Conrad L. Crane and his wife Evelyn, parents of LTC (R) Conrad C. Crane ’74, epitomize devotion to West Point and to Army football. The Cranes have been continuous donors to West Point and members of Army A Club for more than 50 years. Dedicated Army football fans, they have witnessed around 600 games, including games in Tokyo and Ireland. Mr. Crane passed away in 2015, and Mrs. Crane continues to give, maintaining the remarkable legacy she and her husband began decades ago. We are truly fortunate to have the Cranes as part of the West Point family.
