Cancellation policy: Individual cancellations must be made 72 hours prior to the arrival date to avoid penalty of one night’s room and tax.

2. Purchase Football Game Tickets

The deadline to order football tickets in our class section was Friday, June 23, 2023. Please call the Army Ticket Office, 877.TIX.ARMY (877.849.2769), to order tickets, and they will try to get you as close to the class as possible.

Tickets: All tickets will be distributed via mobile delivery (email sent from armywestpoint@paciolan.com), there are no physical tickets. Click here for more information. You will receive your Mobile Tickets via email at least 2 weeks out from your event. You will need to download these to your mobile device to be scanned in at the event.

3. Purchase Class & West Point Gear

Order items by August 14. All orders will ship prior to your reunion, select “UPS Ground” from the shipping option drop down menu on the checkout page. Each main registrant will receive a clear stadium bag with their reunion registration. Only order this item if you would like additional quantities. Please click here to order online or click here to print and mail-in your order form with a check. All reunions sales are final. 4. Register Online

Online Registration is now available. One stadium bag will be given as part of the registration fee. Please see someone at the registration table to receive all of your wristbands for the Friday Dinner, Saturday Bus and Saturday Tailgate. Reunion registration closes Saturday, September 9 at 11:59pm ET.

Friday (October 20) Walking Tours

Three identical two hour walking tours from the front entrance of the Marriott hotel  on Canal Street. Please check-in with WPAOG Staff member in the Lobby of the hotel.

              Twenty-eight participants per group with three different start times

              9:00am, 9:30am, 10:00am.

If you are appreciative of your guide, please make plans to offer your guide a cash gratuity upon completion of your tour, as tips were not included in your fee.

Wear comfortable walking shoes, as the groups will be on foot for the full two hours.

Drinking water, weather appropriate gear:

The weather in New Orleans in October is rather dry (with 2.6in of precipitation over 5 days). The weather is better from the previous month since in September it receives an average of 5.1 in of precipitation over 10 days.

The climate enjoyable here this month. Temperatures are up to 81°F. On average, the recorded minimum temperature is 70°F. Thus, the mean temperature average on this month of October in New Orleans is 76°F. Note that seasonal normals in contrast with those observed in New Orleans in October with a maximum record of 95°F in 2021 and a minimum record of 49°F in 2012.

Friday (October 20) Class Dinner

Reserve tickets for museum entry during regular visiting hours with Veteran’s Discount prior to October 20th. Museum tour is not included in dinner fee.

Dinner ( does not require museum ticket entry):

1800 -2200 ( doors open 1745 for you to enter and reserve your seat with your own personal articles.

Our plan for the evening is that you are able to enjoy the WW2 museum prior to the start of the 1988 35th Reunion dinner. Our dress for the evening allows you to move about the museum freely and comfortably prior to the dinner. You may always dress “up”  but please,  be tasteful in your attire.

AOG staff will be at the entrance doors to check (silver) wrist bands prior to entry. Keep the flow of traffic moving into the building by having your wrist band ready.

The dinner program shows you the order of the evening. Please plan on being at your seat by 1845 for the formal events. We do not have assigned seating, but you are directed to your regimental area (seating map). You may save seats for company mates, but please respect the three tables that are shown to have reserved seats.

Those with meal restrictions will be given tags at registration to hand to waiter for Friday dinner. When you sit at your table, write in the table number on your tag and hand your meal request to our waiter. Then remain at that table for your meal.

Cash Bar: per classmate requests, alcoholic beverages are not included in the dinner fees. Please bring small bills/ credit cards to individually pay for alcoholic beverages, no outside beverages allowed in the building.

Saturday (October 21) Bus

Bus and Football Game Timeline

We have 13  (55 passenger) Chartered buses for the transportation on Saturday. The buses will begin boarding at 0815 and depart promptly at 0900. If you are not going to the football game, you don’t want to be on the bus. The bus transportation is round trip. The buses will begin boarding to head to the stadium from the Governor’s Mansion at 1515. Please go to the same gate that you entered from to board the buses.

Our buses will be parked in Lot 407 at the LSU stadium. It is about a 20 minute walk to and from the stadium.

When it is time to load the buses, you need to load. There are no assigned bus seats. Have your (white) colored wrist band on ready to show the driver. We have approximately 700 grads and guests, and 715 seats on the bus. Don’t miss a chance to get on the first bus you see.  Keep in mind that each bus will have to be full!  We need every seat to be occupied before that bus takes off.

We will post loading times on the Registration page. We love you all as classmates, but if you miss the bus for one more drink at the football game, you are on your own. Uber and Lyft will be your next option. Buses will be in parking lot 407 and will depart from that parking lot promptly at 2245.

Saturday (October 21) Tailgate FAQ

Our tailgate will be at the Louisiana Governor’s mansion in Baton Rouge (New Orleans to Baton Rouge 1 hour 30 minutes, Mansion to LSU Stadium 15 minutes). The wrist bands for this event is gold, please have them ready to show the AOG Staff that will be working at both entrances. John Bel and Donna Edwards are looking forward to hosting us on the grounds of their home, and we thank them in advance for their hospitality!  Please also thank them in person by policing up your trash!  We want to be the best guests they ever had!

Bev Inc  will be providing a culinary extravaganza of traditional creole foods:

* Shrimp Orleans -shrimp and pasta cooked in a creole cream sauce 

* Boudin Balls – Cajun stuffed rice and meat and fried

* Barbecue shrimp Wellington-barbecue shrimp in a Filo dough baked

* Jambalaya-Andoulle sausage and chicken 

* Crawfish Monica-corkscrewed pasta- With crawfish and a light sauce

We have your food allergies and preferences, Gluten free and vegetarian dishes to be offered. Seafood will be marked for allergies.

Attire: Go Army Beat LSU gear. Remember to use the stadium bags that you will receive at registration to meet LSU stadium bag requirements.

Take a look at the map to help with locations at the mansion:

  1. Food service: Serving tables with food and beverages will be on the tennis courts with tent cover. There will be iced tea and water served as part of the meal. Additional alcoholic beverages are available with cash purchase. BRING SMALL BILLS… or plan on tipping high if you don’t bring change.
  2. Guests dining tables:   Separate eating tables for standing and sitting scattered near the tennis court area.
  3. Music: Chuck Briseno: We will have music brought to you by Murray Starkel and friends. https://www.facebook.com/ChuckBrisenoBand   near the Covered tent.
  4. Bus drop off: Two entrances only. Buses will drop off passengers to walk to the entrance from the parking lot. Have your wristband ready to show to speed you through the check in. No guests if they are not on our AOG registration list. The property is monitored by the Louisiana State Police, and we will follow their protocols without question.
  5. Parking for classmates not using the bus.  See map for the POV drive in entrance (AOG staff will monitoring the car entrance) Handicap parking: Near entrance to mansion (see map).
  6. Toilet facilities Six toilets near tennis courts as well as facilities in garden area.
