 In accordance with our class constitution, we hold elections every decennial reunion. For those who branched infantry, that means every ten years, or every reunion year that ends with a "1". 


 Any member of our class may run for office. All positions are up for election.Classmates who have served previously are eligible for re-election to a position they previously held, or to other positions they may subsequently seek. 


1. President (Elect 1)

2. Vice President (Elect 1)

3. Treasurer (Elect 1)

4. Secretary (Elect 1)

5. Information Officer (Elect 1)

6. Class Representatives (Elect 4)


 Each person must be nominated by another member of our class. The nominating classmate must send an email to the Class Secretary, care of this email address (westpoint2001.elections@gmail.com). The Nominating Email must be received by 2100 EST on Wednesday, 8 September.  The slate will be announced to the Class at the Class Business Meeting, and via Email and Facebook. Although self-nominations are prohibited, Classmates may/are encouraged to solicit nominations from other Classmates if you are interested in serving as a Class Officer.  


The Nominating email must include: 


1. Your name (Nominator)

2. Name of Classmate you are nominating.

3. Specific Position for which you are nominating your Classmate.

4. Brief Statement why this Classmate should serve on our committee. 


Those nominated (and who accept the nomination) will be able to add a Candidate Statement to their file. These files will then be shared with the class for consideration. 


Voting will open on Monday, 13 September at 0900 EST and will close on Friday 17 September at 2100 EST.  The results will be announced on Monday, 20 September. The new slate of officers will assume office on 1 November 2021 and will hold office until 31 October 2031.
