Here it is, almost August, and fall can’t get here soon enough! So we’re planning our first big tailgate to get us in the mood! Be sure to stop by to see us at Herbert Hall when you are back at West Point for football games, reunions, or vacation. Go Army Beat Huskies Tailgate

Saturday, September 3, 2011 • Northern Illinois University • 3:00 - 6:00 PM
The West Point Society of Chicago presents special guests, Superintendent LTG David Huntoon '73 and the Cadet Spirit Band and Rabble Rousers! T-shirts for the Army "Black-Out" Section will be given to the first 1000 to arrive at the tailgate. An awesome tailgate menu, unlimited non-alcoholic beverages, and cash bar are available, catered by Chicago’s own Goose Island Brewer. Advance registration suggested; prices increase at the door on the day of the tailgate.

50-Year Affiliation Program Update

’65-’15 – R-Day Reception. The Class of ’65 sponsored the R-Day reception for parents: there were fifteen ’65 Grads and spouses to meet over 1,000 family members and friends of the Class of 2015 being in-processed as New Cadets. ’64 – ’14 Cadet Field Training Awards Ceremony and Run Back from Buckner. The Class of ’64 presented the Class of 2014 with their new Class Flag which they carried as they ran back from Buckner.
’63 – ’13 Cow Affirmation Ceremony. ’63 Class President, MG (R) William Boice will address the Class of ’13 at their Affirmation Ceremony, where cadets affirm their commitment to the profession of arms and ’63 Class reps. will hand-out Affirmation. ’62 – ’12 Class Ring Weekend. Reps. from the Class of ’62 will attend the Class of 2012 Ring Weekend events, including COL (R) Dave McLaughlin, ’62, ring donor to the 2012 Ring Memorial Program.
