Andrew Guay ’17, a student at Boston College Law School and former U.S. Army Infantry Officer, has been named a 2026 Rappaport Center for Law and Public Policy Fellow. He will serve in the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office in Worcester.
During his eight years in the Army, Guay served with the 1st Battalion, 501st Airborne Infantry Regiment at Fort Richardson, Alaska, and later with the 3d U.S. Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard) at Fort Myer, Virginia. While with the Old Guard, he supported ceremonies at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, the U.S. Capitol, the White House, and a presidential funeral and inauguration.
“My commitment to public service has been shaped by both my military service and my experiences growing up and raising a family in north-central Massachusetts,” Guay said. “The Rappaport Fellowship represents an opportunity to continue that service by working on public policy issues that directly affect local communities, particularly equitable access to education. I am honored to join a fellowship dedicated to developing thoughtful, community-focused leaders.”
“My time as a cadet and Infantry Officer instilled in me a deep commitment to service and the skills required to take on multiple projects at once,” Guay told WPAOG. “I am grateful for this opportunity to carry forward my career of public service that started on my first day of Beast Barracks into a new career in law and public policy.”
