Class of 1948 Reunion Gift

Class 0f 1948 60th Reunion

The Class of 1948 has delighted cadets and the West Point Community for many years since they funded the Class of 1948 Ski Lodge. During their 60th reunion, 24-27 April, the USMA Class of 1948 voted to support USMA with a gift that will continue to support cadets in perpetuity –a gift of $307,250 to the Superintendent’s Endowment.

Unrestricted gifts to West Point are in many ways, the most valuable gifts we receive.  Unrestricted giving assures the Superintendent unparalleled flexibility to fund immediate needs of the Academy and to take advantage of unforeseen opportunities in the areas of academics, intercollegiate athletics, co-curricular clubs, and other leader development experiences.  With this gift, member of the Class of 1948 have given a gift of trust - trust in the Superintendent as there is no one person with more knowledge of the needs of the Academy than the Superintendent.

This will be their last Class gift to USMA and all future donations to their gift fund will support the Superintendent’s Endowment. Since graduating, members of the Class have given over $6.8M in support of USMA!
