Our 40th Reunion in 4 Simple Steps:

1.  Make your hotel reservation.  Your reunion committee has negotiated rooms at the hotels listed below.  Rooms at these rates are available on a first come, first served basis.  Please reserve only what you know you'll need.  If you cancel a reservation, your cancelled room does not return to our block; it goes to the hotel's general inventory (usually at a higher rate).

2.  Register online for the reunion. Pay your registration fee and sign up and pay for all the events that you wish to attend.  Click here to register.  When registering, please take special note of the following:

-Your registration fee covers memorabilia the reunion committee selected and it also covers reunion overhead.  One registration fee per ’73 grad and their guests.

-Entering West Point:  Vehicles with Department of Defense (DoD) stickers may use any of the three gates to enter West Point:  Thayer Gate, Stony Lonesome Gate, and Washington Gate (military ID is needed for Washington Gate in addition to the sticker).  All other vehicles (no DoD sticker) must enter West Point through Thayer Gate or Stony Lonesome Gate.  All vehicle occupants age 16 and over must have a photo ID. 

Please be aware of parking restrictions at West Point. 

  -Friday:  Parking is extremely limited in the Central Post area of West Point, the vicinity of the academic buildings and barracks.  Most parking in this area requires a staff/faculty parking decal.  Parking is generally available in the following areas:  Buffalo Soldier Field, old PX parking lot (near the West Point cemetery), Visitors Center, Most Holy Trinity Chapel, and in the vicinity of Eisenhower Hall.  Allow plenty of time to walk to your destination.  Since there is no longer a post shuttle, the Class will have buses pick up reunion attendees at Buffalo Soldier Field at 8:00 AM.  The buses will take reunion attendees to the Cadet Chapel for the Memorial Service, Prep School for the tour, and Ike Hall for the Class lunch, Superintendent’s Update, and Class meeting.  The buses will pick up reunion attendees from Clinton parking lot and return to Buffalo Soldier Field at 4:30pm. 

  -Game Day Saturday:  A parking pass is required for every vehicle on football game day for those not staying at the Thayer Hotel.  Parking passes are available in advance, please see step number 3 for directions on ordering.  Parking passes are also available on game day for $20.  Parking attendants will direct you to parking lots.  Game day shuttle buses are available from all parking areas to the review, and then to the stadium.  After the game, shuttle buses take fans back to all of the parking areas for 60-90 minutes. 

-West Point Bus/Walking Tour:  On Thursday a shuttle bus will pick up reunion attendees at the Thayer Hotel and Buffalo Soldier field starting at 9:30am and ending at 12:30pm.  The shuttle will make stops at Herbert Hall, the Kimsey Center, the cemetery, Trophy Point, and the library corner.  It will pass, but not stop, by the Prep School and the Rugby Center.  There is no fee for the shuttle, but please sign up if you are interested so we can get an accurate count.

-The Golf Outing includes greens fee, carts, and prizes.  There is a pay as you go snack bar. 

-Prep School Tour:  There is parking at the Prep School or you can take the bus from the Cadet Chapel after the Class Memorial Service.  The tour is one hour.

-Hudson River Cruise is sold out.  Sign up for the wait list.  

-The Saturday pre-game meal is in the mess hall.  It will be served “family-style” (the way you remember as a cadet).  The menu will be determined about four weeks before the reunion.  

3.  Buy your Football Game Tickets.  Game Tickets will be available on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 from the Army Ticket Office.  Click here and follow the directions provided by the Army Ticket Office.  Please note, you must purchase your tickets by June 28, 2013 to guarantee seating with your Class. If you are not staying at the Thayer Hotel you will need a game day parking pass.  You may pre-order your parking pass (you will receive a $5.00 discount if purchased in advance).  If you do not purchase a game day parking pass in advance, parking attendants will collect the fee on game day as you enter post.  The Class dinner at Eisenhower Hall will start at 6:00pm.  If you would like a parking pass near Eisenhower Hall, you must call the Army Ticket Office and state that you are with the Class of 1973 Class dinner at Ike Hall.  Once the Ike Hall lot is full, they also have space available in K lot.  The Class of 1973 will be seated together in Michie Stadium in Sections 17A through 19.  These seats are in the northwest corner of Michie Stadium.  Persons with season tickets or another type of ticket package can exchange their game tickets for tickets in the reunion area at no extra charge (contact the Army Ticket Office to arrange an exchange:  877.TIX.ARMY).   

4.  Buy your Class and West Point gear here.  Orders were due by July 25.  You will receive your items at the reunion.  If not attending the reunion, orders will be sent after the reunion event.
